Watching older interviews with legendary captains, I noticed many spoke about unity and discipline more than about victories. It struck me that their influence often extended outside the pitch, shaping cricket culture for years. Now I wonder, when fans talk about the “most successful captain,” should we be considering their impact beyond cricket matches too?

Interesting idea, I agree with you - a successful captain is not only trophies, but also the mark he leaves behind, how he influences the culture of the team and even the whole sport. Many legends are remembered for creating an atmosphere of trust and discipline, and not just winning matches.
By the way, in addition to football, I also like Counter-Strike - there you can also see how the leader in the team can decide a lot, even if we are talking about virtual battles. And I also like collecting different skins, recently found cs2 all skins, where you can see the entire collection. It's like its own mini-culture inside the game.
